I’m a Lecturer in Computing Science in the School of Natural and Computing Sciences at University of Aberdeen, and Honorary Fellow (Research) in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Dundee, Scotland, UK.
In the past, I have worked as Senior Research Software Engineer and Post Doctoral Researcher in Dundee on following projects:
EU-funded HT-Advance Project, developing a clinically-relevant machine learning tool for the diagnosis of hypertension from clinical multi-omics data.
MRC & EPSRC funded PICTURES project. It aimed to develop ML-based classifier that use routine NHS magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scans and linked health records to predict future dementia up to five years before a clinical diagnosis.
EU-funded Horizon 2020 ENS@T-HT project on classification of hypertensive patients. I worked on the multi-omics data integration and incorporated novel machine learning techniques to discriminate between endocrine hypertension subtypes. This project gave me an opportunity to lead various collaborative publications and patents.
